Jenny Guthrie describes herself as a Family Nurse Practitioner by certification and a business owner by accident. During our visit she shares more about her background and what led her into a career in healthcare and how she eventually started her own business, Glow Medical, that has grown into one of the leading Medical Spas in Oklahoma. She is married to the love of her life and they have two young boys. So, she was at the top of her game, both personally and professionally, when she found a lump in her breast and it wasn’t long after that she received a breast cancer diagnosis. In an effort to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness this month, she shares more about her turbulent journey since the diagnosis and the prominent role that Faith has played throughout this journey and on her road to recovery.

Jenny Guthrie APRN is a Family Nurse Practitioner by certification and a business owner by accident. She graduated from ORU in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and from The University of Oklahoma in 2002 with a Masters of Science. She has worked in healthcare for over 28 years. She started out working for other medical aesthetic providers in 2009 and learned a lot of great things and a lot of how not to do things! Jenny began her own business venture in 2011. She is a frugal, consistent, strategic business owner who has grown a medical aesthetic practice from her home (not how she now recommends you start) to a 2400sq foot facility in Tulsa as well as a second location in Enid, Oklahoma. Both have grown organically over time to have over 2 million dollars per year in production. She managed to become a Diamond Level Allergan provider (top 5% of accounts) with two injectors and only offering part of their portfolio. Allergan has named Glow Medical one of its top 10 Med Spas in Oklahoma.
Jenny has always had a passion for helping others and has always loved teaching and sharing knowledge. She teaches her patients why she is making certain recommendations and how it benefits them and believes her care of them is for the “long-haul” because as she says “aging is a long-term proposition”. She loves sharing the knowledge and skill that she has spent the last 14 years acquiring. She has the honor of being an Allergan trainer. She also loves investing into her team to help challenge them to learn and be the best they can be.
She is married to Cliff who she describes as her best-friend and the love of her life. Her two boys Garrett & Nicholas keep her very busy when she is not working. She is the emotional support human for Suki, her beloved mini-chihuahua and she also enjoys her son’s bearded dragon, Zingo. Her faith plays a pivotal role in how she runs her business and how she raises her kids. In her free time she loves being with her family, riding UTVs, watching movies, and traveling.
