LiveEvent Special Announcement

As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to thank you for being here. I am so thankful for my community! I absolutely LOVE podcasting and it’s truly a pleasure to bring so many inspiring people and stories to you. Since the beginning of starting this podcast, I’ve been asked quite frequently about hosting a live event, so I’m opening it up for an afternoon of Connecting through Conversations on Friday, January 26th from 11:30 – 1:00pm.

This live event is for women including entrepreneurs, changemakers, young professionals and college age women. We are creating a space to inspire, tell stories, and generate community while promoting networking and support through connections in a small group atmosphere.

I’ve invited a truly inspiring guest, Dr. Meg Myers Morgan, and am thrilled to host her in a live conversation at this special event.

A little about her: Dr. Meg Myers Morgan is an award-winning author, college professor, and certified executive coach. Her latest book, Everything is Negotiable (Seal Press, 2018)–based on her notable TEDx Talk–is a best-seller and has been translated in multiple languages. Her collection of essays, Harebrained, won the gold medal for humor from the Independent Publishers Book Awards (2015). Dr. Morgan received her certification in Executive Coaching from Columbia University, and has worked with hundreds of people on negotiating higher salaries, better work schedules, and stronger professional relationships. She speaks to audiences around the world on how to use negotiation tactics as a framework for identifying and acquiring the resources needed to shape a successful and fulfilling career. Her writing on the topic of negotiation has appeared in countless publications, and she’s been featured on WNPR and The Jenny McCarthy Show. During her time as Chair of the Tulsa Women’s Commission on the, Dr. Morgan authored the Mayor’s Pay Equity Pledge, which has helped to close the gender pay gap in her community. She is currently an associate professor at the University of Oklahoma and teaches in the areas of leadership, strategy, and evaluation. Dr. Morgan, her husband, and their two daughters are proud citizens of the Cherokee Nation and reside in Tulsa.

Spots are limited so please sign up on my email list to be notified when tickets are available.

Who is this event for? Women in college and beyond! The reason I’m interested in supporting college and young professional women is because it’s an important phase of life. I’m passionate about mentoring because I had some mentors early on that helped me shape my life and professional career and I think it’s important to support those who come after us. Provide knowledge, encouragement, and challenge them to be their best selves. Mentors can help you realize who you are and what you’re capable of doing. They also have learned some things the hard way and can guide you on a less bumpy road – don’t get me wrong, you’ll still make mistakes and learn things the hard way, but it doesn’t have to be everything!

This small group atmosphere will enable us to visit in a more intimate setting. Please come with business cards or your contact info., and your questions!

I’ll be offering special pricing for college and young professionals. Ideally, I’d like to be a community of women who lifts each other up. I hope you join me on this journey. It’s going to be fun!
