In this episode I'm doing something a little different — a solo workshop on a topic that's so close to home for me right now: burnout. Because here's the thing I want you to hear first — burnout rarely shows up with flashing lights and sirens. It's sneaky. It builds slowly while we keep telling ourselves, "I'm just busy," or "I'll rest when things slow down." But what if things never slow down?

So grab a notebook and a pen, because we're going to walk through five quiet signs that you might be cracking — the exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix, the little things setting you off, the joy that's quietly gone missing, living on autopilot, and that "after this" promise we keep making ourselves. This isn't about diagnosing you. It's about awareness, because awareness is the first step toward change.

And then I share the one move that can stop full burnout before it takes over: creating margin — that breathing room between your capacity and your commitments. We'll do a simple Stop / Start / Continue exercise together so you leave with one honest, doable decision. Friend, your worth is not measured by your productivity, and caring for yourself isn't selfish — it's sustainable. Keep going.</overview> <parameter name="keyTakeaways">["Burnout builds slowly and quietly — awareness of the early signs is the first step toward changing course before you hit full exhaustion.", "Sign #1: You're tired no matter how much you sleep. Ask yourself when you last felt truly rested — not caught up or productive, but rested.", "Sign #2: Small things (the email, the traffic, the dishes) start to feel overwhelming. Irritation can be a signal you've exceeded your capacity.", "Sign #3: You've stopped doing the things that light you up — reading, walking, calling a friend, being creative. Burnout eliminates the very things that refill us.", "Sign #4 & #5: You're on autopilot, just managing your days instead of experiencing them — and you keep saying 'after this,' postponing your well-being for a slowdown that may never come.", "The one move that stops full burnout is creating margin — unscheduled breathing room, and learning to say no before resentment builds.", "Try the Stop / Start / Continue exercise: stop one thing draining you, start one small habit that helps you feel like yourself, and continue one thing already supporting your well-being."]

Burnout rarely arrives with flashing lights and warning sirens. It's really sneaky.
You are not failing. You are not weak. You are not incapable. You are human, and your exhaustion is information.
Margin is not a luxury, it is a necessity — and creating it doesn't require a complete life overhaul. It starts with one honest decision.
Your worth is not measured by your productivity. You do not have to prove your value through exhaustion.
